DIY Super Simple Valentine’s Day Card

It’s fair to say I’ve been neglecting the blog a bit recently as I’ve been busy preparing for my first ever craft market stall! My friend Nat and I will be at Altrincham market on Sunday 23rd February selling jewellery and handmade gifts so if you’re local come and say hi! Despite the fact that pretty much all of my free time has been taken up with making bits and pieces to try and sell, I couldn’t let Valentine’s Day pass without one more make!

DIY Simple Lipstick Valentine's Card

It’s the night before I know but, let’s face it, not everyone is organised and sometimes you need a last minute fix that still says ‘I love you’. The answer? The lipstick kiss card! All you need is a card or a folded sheet of stiff paper and a lipstick, apply the lipstick and pucker up! This lipstick is Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss ‘Kiss of Life’ matte red. Practice on a scrap of paper first so that you can get your pout just right. Mix it up with different colours of lipstick or even cover the paper with smooches as a hint to your Valentine of what you might be doing later! It’s actually quite a lot of fun but is definitely one to do on your own when there’s no chance of anyone walking in on you – it’s a hard one to explain! Now just write your heartfelt message inside and you’re all set, a thoughtful, personal and handmade card that no one needs to know wasn’t planned well in advance!

Just for fun, here’s my pouty selfie – Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! x
